Commercial operations are planned to commence as soon as H1’ 2025, launching from our ship, MS Voyager. Prototype test flight completed, demonstrating full flight profile under SpaceBalloon to 100,000 feet and accurate splashdown 800m from the awaiting retrieval boat.

Twelve granted patents with ten pending, covering all critical aspects and functions of Spaceship Neptune providing strong mote.

Corporate Controller

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and compliance. The ideal candidate must have a CPA certification and a deep background in manufacturing and cost accounting. This role will be critical in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of Space Perspective as we continue to innovate and grow.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting/MRP, purchasing department, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and provide detailed reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of effective internal controls and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• CPA certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Quickbooks and NetSuite is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
