We are on the hunt for an Electromechanical Assembler Apprentice on our Electronics manufacturing team at our Montreal office.

With an extensive heritage in a wide range of solutions delivered to customers globally, our Satellite Systems team continues to grow and evolve on the ground and in the stars.
Role:
The Apprentice position focuses on training and learning the trade, as well as developing technical skills. Training will be a combination of theory and hands-on practice.
Under the supervision of more experienced assemblers, the apprentice electronic assembler will be called upon to assemble electromechanical products.
Tasks:
Prepare components.
Tin components.
Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface-mount (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
Operate and adjust automated assembly and inspection equipment.
Prepare, handle and use polymeric products for component bonding.
Install cables.
Mechanically integrate modules, flexes and printed circuit boards.
May also be called upon to perform the duties of a production assistant or general helper.
All other related tasks.
Minimal Qualifications Required:
Fine manual dexterity.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
Use of production databases.
Basic knowledge of tolerances and geometric dimensions an asset.
Good knowledge of French.
Preferred Qualifications:
0 - 2 years experience required.
DEC or DEP in a related field.
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to perform duties effectively.
Knowledge of French is required.
Experience:
*A combination of education and experience deemed relevant will be considered.

Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
