We're looking for a talented and experienced AI Architect to join our dynamic Generative AI team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform.

Position Overview:

As an AI Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our AI and ML initiatives and driving the development of innovative solutions. You will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and implementing AI and ML systems that deliver tangible business value and enhance our competitive edge. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex AI and ML projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and architecture of AI solutions, including MLOps, AI chatbots, natural language learning models, AI Coding assistants, and other AI technologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams and vendors to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for AI integration, and define project objectives.

- Develop scalable, efficient, and cost effective AI pipelines that leverage big data and cloud computing infrastructure.

- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks, and make recommendations for adoption based on business needs and technical feasibility.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineers and data scientists, guiding them in best practices for AI development and implementation.

- Drive innovation through research and experimentation, exploring new AI techniques and methodologies to solve complex business problems.

- Work closely with stakeholders to communicate project status, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing AI solutions, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects from conception to deployment.

- Preferred expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and other AI techniques, with hands-on experience in building and deploying production-grade models.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with AI frameworks are a plus.

- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS and Azure) and experience with deploying solutions in cloud environments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus on technical decisions.

- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation in artificial intelligence.

Salary Range: $146,300.00 - $219,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
