SUPERVISOR, CRANE OPERATIONS (MAINTENANCE & SERVICE)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and scope of work enforcement for facilities crane operations and elevator services.
  • Have high regard for personal safety and safety of others while providing safety leadership and driving a culture of safety excellence.
  • Provide direct project management of subcontractors for required crane improvements and installations.
  • Provide leadership, conduct annual performance reviews, and manage subordinate technicians.
  • Assure there is compliance with all Federal, State and local building codes as related to facilities crane operations.
  • Prioritize emergency response and ensure collaboration with security, health and safety, and other applicable support teams.
  • Consult with production engineering and facilities construction for required crane systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in crane maintenance, repair, welding and fabrication of crane structures.
  • 1+ years of experience as a lead or supervisor in crane maintenance and repair.
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining elevator service contracts and commissioning.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • PMP, BOC Level I or Level II, or CFM/FMP certifications. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities operations, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Experience with bridge and gantry cranes.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand technical language in specifications, schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing atmosphere safely and follow safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and problem solving attitude.
  • Strong organizational and collaborative communication skills are essential.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area.
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to work and remain focused in confined spaces and hazardous environments while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, and push or lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Supervisor, Crane Operations: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
