We are on the hunt for an Intermediate Engineer, EGSE and Test on our satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

We are looking for a motivated and talented EGSE and test engineer to join our team at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. The candidate will participate in the development of test solutions and equipment, and will support the testing of satellite electronics units.

Tasks

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for the development test equipment used for testing satellite electronic units;
• Support testing of satellite electronic units;
• Be part of an engineering team specializing in test equipment, otherwise called electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
• Test station architecture and job definition.
• Ability to supervise the work of a few junior engineers
• Design and support manufacturing of electrical test equipment and cable harnesses.
• Produce design documentation such as electrical diagrams, assembly drawings, bill of materials, etc.
• Perform analyses and writing of test procedures;
• Support procurement, manufacturing and validation of test equipment;

Experience and skills required

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum 5  years experience 
• Hands-on experience in electronic design;
• Practical experience in electronics test station design and manufacture in one of the following fields: digital, analog, power or RF electronics
• Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
• Laboratory skills and experience with instruments such as oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, arbitrary signal generator, etc.

Assets

• Printed circuit board (PCB) design skills using PCB CAD tools
• Knowledge of functional testing of automated systems, ideally in RF, telecommunications or high-speed digital systems
• Understanding of communication protocols
• Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
• Bilingual (French / English)

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
