Within the frame of our fast activity growth and in the aim of the industrialization of our products and implementation of our future factory, we are looking for a Senior Methods Engineer on our site of Massy (91).
Position Overview:
As a Methods Engineer, you will be responsible of defining and implementing manufacturing processes to ensure production capability (repeatability and reproducibility) and enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives across various manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Identification and implementation of manufacturing methods and processes in line with industrial requirements.
- Participation in the design-to-manufacturing process, including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and control plan updating.
- Verification and validation of process capability to ensure repeatability in production.
- Participate in the design and acquisition of the resources and tools required for assembly, integration and test activities.
- Creation of manufacturing files, including routings, tools and instructions for integration and testing (including IT tools).
- Participate in the definition of detailed workstations, taking into account flow constraints, ergonomics and workstation-related risks.
- Reduce production variability by proposing standard methods and work instructions.
- Optimization of production times by improving flows and manufacturing processes
- Training and support for production during the integration of new products and processes
- Continuous improvement of production to optimize Safety, Quality, Lead Time and Cost indicators
- Updating manufacturing files as products and processes evolve
Preferred Experience πββοΈ
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or technical fields (mechanics, Electronics, roboticsβ¦) .
- Proven experience in process improvement, methods engineering, or related roles within a technical manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in Processes such as laser welding, brazing and mechanical integration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with PLM and ERP tools
- Familiarity with process simulation software, CAD/CAM tools, and statistical analysis techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies such as robotics, automation, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety standards, ergonomic principals in manufacturing.
- Upper intermediate technical level in English and French (B2 as a minimum).
