Responsibilities as an RF Engineer include:

Research, design, and development of RF front end modules in applications operating at UHF-, Ka-, L-, S-, X-Band and other frequencies.

Work and collaborate with other Senior Engineers, Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs), and Test Engineers across various programs to achieve desired design and function.

Simulate RF designs, capture RF schematics and layout, conduct trade studies, perform multi-faceted analyses, interface with vendors, test components, design analog circuitry, and will work with engineers of other disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, etc.).

Support failure analysis, Material Review Board processing, discrepancy documentation, resolution, and troubleshooting. Support more senior engineers who provide technical and programmatic support to various RF products.

This job is a balance of design and hands-on work.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience performing RF modeling and simulation for design validation. Preferred tools: HFSS, ADS, SystemVue, AWR

• Experience performing RF circuit card assembly schematic and layout capture. Preferred tools: Xpedition, Zuken

• Experience performing Integration & Test of RF components, payloads, and/or subsystems. Preferred tools: vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, phase noise analyzer, power meters

• Experience testing and troubleshooting

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to execute tasks on-time, be accountable for actions, and interact effectively with customers, management, and peers.

• Experience with phases of product lifecycle (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR).

• Certification and training as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Engineer, or equivalent

• RF and/or digital payload test measurement techniques

• Architecture, integration, and test of Electronically Steerable Arrays (ESA), Radar Systems, RF and/or digital payloads, Telemetry Tracking & Command (TT&C), or missile communications subsystems.

• Development of Analog/Digital interfaces

• Designing active components, such as Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) , hybrids, Linearized Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (LTWTAs), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), Oscillators, frequency converters, etc.

• Experience in managing research or design projects

• RF front end design experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $76,600 - $146,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
