What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

The company has received over $313 million in funding so far from investors such as Lifeline Ventures, True Ventures, Draper Associates, Space Capital, Molten Ventures, OTB Ventures, Tesi, EIF, Promus Ventures, New Space Capital, Seraphim Space, BAE Systems and DNX Ventures. ICEYE had revenues of approx. €50 million in 2022 and employs 500+ FTE in Finland, Poland, USA, UK, and Spain (50% of the colleagues are in Finland).

What will you do in this role?

  • Participate in HR projects such as Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Team Development, taking ownership of specific initiatives.
  • Enhance employee satisfaction by collaborating with the People Team to identify and implement initiatives that boost employee satisfaction and commitment levels.
  • Regularly conduct reports and analytics on HR data such as attrition, engagement survey results, and exit interviews.
  • Supporting, coaching, and advising team leads on people related topics
  • Admin work related to org and employee role changes e.g. internal transfers
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with managers and employees, providing a proactive and credible service on a range of employment matters, and questioning and challenging where appropriate.

Requirements

Required:

  • Working knowledge of Finnish Employment Law and of current HR best practices
  • Experience in managing employee relationships and Conflict Resolution
  • Min 3-years experience in HR generalist roles, preferably with involvement in multiple HR projects e.g. performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations
  • You will need to be in the Espoo office at least 3 days per week
  • Ability to manage sensitive HR matters with empathy, understanding and resilience

Preferred

  • Strong detail-oriented and analytical problem-solving skills to address HR challenges and implement effective solutions. 
  • Capable of working independently and proactively, with effective prioritisation of workload
  • Experience in working with engineers
  • Experience with PIPs, Talent Density, and competence mapping
  • Previous experience in coaching
