Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Contracts Management with an active U.S. Security Clearance with SSBI. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of contracts professionals across a diverse portfolio of multiple companies in the Aerospace and Defense industry. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a group of Contracts professionals in multiple locations and businesses with the full range of management responsibilities to include resource planning, staffing, employee training and development, and performance management
  • Mentor, coach and advise contracts professionals
  • Review, draft and negotiate myriad complex agreements, including Firm Fixed Price/ Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FFP)/(FPIF), Cost Plus Award Fee/ Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPAF/CPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee/ Time and Materials (CPFF/T&M) and hybrid contract types
  • Serve as subject matter expert and advise internal clients on contract requirements/ implications pursuant to FAR, DFARS, and Export and Import control requirements
  • Partner with and advise internal clients within the following verticals: Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Contracts to ensure efficient work flow and execution of agreements
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate prime contract flow downs
  • Manage large, complex contracts of significant importance, including ensuring all agreements and supporting document are properly filed
  • Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert for audits of contracts

 

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or BA in an applicable field (business, legal, etc.) is required
  • 10+ years contracts management experience with US Government contracts in the Defense and Aerospace industry
  • Previous Leadership Experience
  • Major contract terms and condition negotiations
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Active US Government security clearance is required.

 

Pay Range:  $150-200K

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

This position is based out of ARKA’s Colorado Springs, CO campus. If you like city life, but also enjoy the great outdoors, Colorado Springs is the place for you. EHS/Environmental Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. This would require the ability to move around the campus and occasionally move/lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.

ITC & Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires an active US Government Security Clearance.
