About the Role

As a Process Quality Internal Auditor II, you will be responsible for conducting regular internal audit activities of assigned Sierra Space Operations, Engineering and Programs at various Sierra Space locations, and assist in providing oversight and continual improvement to Sierra Space’s Enterprise Quality Management Systems (QMS). These internal auditing activities are used to assess and ensure quality assurance compliance, both internally and externally, per the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and AS9100D Quality Requirements.

You'll be responsible for leading and conducting audits to ensure that all management and employees throughout the Enterprise are in conformance to the company Quality Management System, and to ensure that all activities meet or exceed all business goals, customer/industry/regulatory requirements and Sierra Space process and procedures. You'll support the maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies, and that the performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines. You'll coordinate and develop audit schedules and support the development of audit checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

The Process Quality Internal Auditor II will support every aspect of the internal audit program including audit planning, implementation, and continual improvement of the QMS.

  • Plan and conduct regular internal audits to assess conformance with quality management systems (QMS), process consistency, and AS9100D standard
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders, highlighting areas of risk, nonconformance, or process weaknesses
  • Maintain audit documentation and records to support ongoing quality improvement efforts
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement across the organization by educating and supporting team members in quality best practices
  • Stay updated on relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality management to ensure organizational compliance
  • Support external audits, as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically three (3) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Knowledge and utilization of AS9100, ISO 9001 and other applicable Military and statutory Standards and Specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Auditor or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office and database experience
  • Statistical analysis
  • Participated in external audits as guide

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$62,660.05 - $86,157.57
