The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Logistics Manager for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman’s ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman’s ground based radars, avionic radars, and space systems. The chosen candidate will be the Logistics Manager for the ATL Foundry tool equipment parts inventory along with Foundry program material inventory and will be responsible for directing, planning, and managing a team of represented and non-represented personnel to support the ATL Foundry and Foundry Programs.

Other responsibilities include:

- Provide direction and guidance to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies

- Involved in staffing decisions, training, and driving engagement efforts to achieve the employee's highest potential

- Support communications with stakeholders with status reports of parts inventory and service

- Work independently across the organization to meet Fab needs and goals

- Review and approval of procurements of direct reports Purchasing Card

- Ensure

- Maintain a safe work environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 5 years of experience in people management/supervision manufacturing operations including planning and scheduling workflow
  • Experience in semiconductor/microelectronics logistics.
  • This candidate should be able to work independently and set the team’s priorities based on competing and urgent priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • US citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of industry and management methodologies focused on continuous improvement in manufacturing, such as SPC, 5S, Total Quality Management or Six Sigma
  • Experienced in ISO 9001 or AS9100 Audits and Requirements Knowledgeable of Industrial Hazardous Waste Management procedures
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of semiconductor logistics
  • Secret clearance

Salary Range: $109,800.00 - $164,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
