Position Description:

The Buyer will provide support to the Operations team through the timely supply of Computer Related items and services from established Suppliers.

Responsibilities: 

• Review procurement requirements, suppliers on-time-arrival performance. 
• Interact with Engineering, Accounting, Inventory and Demand Planning.
• Support communication with suppliers, obtaining benchmarking prices, managing development of new suppliers.
• Proactively review open orders to identify supply problems and negotiate with supplier directly to remedy the issues.
• Work with team and supplier to investigate receiving/invoice discrepancies to resolve and eliminate future occurrences.
• Procure various items in a timely manner to ensure delivery prior to scheduled desired date, with emphasis on meeting target price, quality, quantity and availability
• Analyzing departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information
• Maintaining and updating procurement records as appropriate

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent
• 5+ years of Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience
• Proficient in ERP/MRP software
• Strong knowledge and experience in Excel 
• Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferences

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management
• APICS certification
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint
