We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Electronic Manufacturing  department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a four month term (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in September 2024.

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

The successful candidate will work closely with the technologists, technicians, assemblers and engineers on the project teams. Your responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of activities. When a problem arises in production or testing, you will be called upon to ensure that it is resolved quickly by obtaining the support of experts and the project team. You may also participate in process improvements to facilitate the tasks of your colleagues.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Following training on the various production systems, the student will join the electronics production team. This group ensures the optimization of production activities for all projects undergoing manufacturing and testing;
  • The manufacturing engineer helps coordinate the activities of assemblers and technicians, provides a liaison with the design group and improves production processes;
  • The Manufacturing Engineer also assists in resolving various issues during production by participating in the Manufacturing Review Committee, a committee composed of experts from several engineering disciplines and associated with the particular project;
  • In a project environment with schedules and budgets and under the supervision of an experienced engineer, the student will be called upon to support the production teams and will work on the development of solutions to improve the production processes;
  • The student will attend team brainstorming meetings and the manufacturing review committee. As a member of the production team, the student may also be involved in modifying manufacturing documentation, designing manufacturing tools, and tracking parts from inspection to assembly and test stations.

Experience and skills required:

  • Completed second year of Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering;
  • Dynamic;
  • Desire to learn;
  • Sense of initiative;
  • Experience in microelectronic production or industrial engineering;
  • Demonstrated academic performance (good GPA [above 3.0]);
  • Bilingual
