EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer – Network Management System

in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Gaithersburg, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build Network Management System (NMS) software applications.
• Provide technical guidance, design solutions, conduct code reviews, and manage software releases to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Participate in software development lifecycle for backend development.
• Participate in software testing campaigns, including Unit testing, Pair Wise Integration testing, System Integration Verification, and Factory Acceptance Testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of NMS applications.
• Present design changes required for NMS applications to customers during design reviews.
• Provision production servers with customized solutions per NMS to manage and install NMS application.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in software applications or Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in software applications.
• Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: software development life cycle, Microservices in Java, C/C++, MongoDB, MySQL, Docker, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
