Position Overview:

This position is for a Cloud Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for technical leadership, system design, and implementation of complex cloud-based system architectures for national critical systems. You will be a key decision maker in defining "how" a system will be implemented to meet its requirements using cloud technologies. This responsibility is expected to evolve over the course of a program and includes fostering customer intimacy to ensure full understanding of the customer's needs and then working with the chief engineer to realize that vision.

We are looking for someone who is customer mission focused and passionate about providing technical leadership in software architecture and design of complex government systems. You should have the ability to create system designed based upon requirements analysis, develop system architectures for enterprise level systems, create and maintain interface definition APIs, and perform platform design tasks. This candidate will be joining our team of distributed engineers to help shape the development and delivery of custom applications and advanced R&D solutions for our customers. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented individuals at ARKA

Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate is proficient technical leader that has previous experience with government mission systems and is passionate about providing technical leadership to a team of Cloud engineers, and has experience working on cross-disciplinary teams.  This candidate should have experience and proven successes designing, utilizing and automating AWS frameworks. Lastly, familiarity with DevSecOps concepts is necessary as the Government customer desires all cloud environments to be automated with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scaffolding. 

 

As a Cloud Architect at Stratagem, your responsibilities include:

  • Integrating with a diverse team to deliver solutions in an agile-like manner
  • Designing and deploying cloud frameworks 
  • Utilizing IaC concepts to create automated cloud-based environments
  • Communicating with developers and customers to refine and revector networking solutions
  • Communicating engineering status, risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security to program leadership and the customer
  • Holding technical exchange meetings with government customers to brief engineering design for government review and approval mechanisms
  • Understanding, evaluating, and recommending new technologies that can enhance the performance of a software system

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience with software development in AWS, AZURE or a similar cloud and architecture concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
  • Experience working with teams utilizing GitLab and Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud services for a Kubernetes software deployment and management solution, virtual machine management, object management, serverless function
  • Experience with DevSecOps principles and technologies, along with CI/CD pipelines

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in AWS, AZURE or a similar Cloud Service Provider (CSP)
  • Satellite communication planning for both individual satellite scenarios and constellations
  • SIGINT and GEOINT data processing
  • Satellite command and control / C2
  • Satellite tasking for GEOINT / SIGINT collection concepts
  • Advanced mission planning for satellite base operations and payload operation / integration layers
  • CI Polygraph in order to obtain Privileged User for a Gov't System

      Pay Range: $150,000 - $190,000

      Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

      This position is based out of ARKA’s nature abundant Aurora, CO campus.
