This position can be preformed remotely in the United States.

The Maxar Cybersecurity team is seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst with experience in building out and maintaining a threat intelligence program for large-scale environments. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst on our Managed Threat Response (MTR) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the team in detecting, analyzing, and neutralizing cyber threats before they impact our environments. Your primary focus will be on gathering threat intelligence and proactively hunting in order to defend Maxar networks against emerging threats. You’ll collaborate with a team of incident response analysts, engineers, vulnerability management specialists and cybersecurity leadership.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other threat analysts to identify and understand threats to Maxar.
  • Investigate and analyze logs and security-related events using cybersecurity toolsets.
  • Identify and respond to cyber threats occurring within Maxar environments.
  • Write and compile documentation for threat research to be compiled into briefs.
  • Communicate findings to technical and executive teams.
  • Follow up with Maxar teams through issue resolution and provide recommendations to minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and threat response teams and provide Tier 3 support when needed.
  • Research emerging Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), exploits, and vulnerabilities to enhance protection for our clients.
  • Collect and correlate threat intelligence from online sources to create actionable intelligence actions

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • 5+ years experience in a Cybersecurity related role with an experience in threat intelligence gathering and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Information Security best practices, policies, standards, and baselines, including industry standards and guidelines from NIST, CIS, and OWASP.
  • Education: A Bachelor of Science is preferred, with a focus on information security or related disciplines
  • Professional certifications: IT Security Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH, or other equivalent certifications.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industry standard cybersecurity tools.
  • Experience with OSINT and other intelligence gathering toolsets.
  • Technical working experience/knowledge of operating systems, databases, web applications, mobile devices, middleware, and other computing devices/software components.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the space industry and its technology stack.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$98,000.00 - $164,000.00 annually.
