We are looking for you to join our team as an Industrial Engineer based out of Apopka, FL. As an Industrial Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Using Model-based Engineering and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. **This position may be filled as an Industrial Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3) based on the requirements below.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
• · Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
• · Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints.
• · Analyzes existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance, specifically for modifications.
• · Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams.
• · Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers.
• · Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies.
• · Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.

Basic Qualifications

• · Experience in Microsoft Office excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables or data visualization software applications.
• · Experience with AutoCAD or Visio.
• · Must be available onsite to support manufacturing and its schedule of operations.
• · Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• · Solid interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• · Solid presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas.
• · Commitment to ethics and compliance.
• · Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• · Ability for infrequent travel (<10%).
• · U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer (Level 2):

• · Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR Master’s degree with 0 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience.
• · Familiarity in designing visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• · Familiarity with time studies and capacity modeling.
• · Familiarity with Process control methods (SPC/control charts).
• · Familiarity with Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).

Basic Qualifications for Principal Industrial Engineer (Level 3):

• · Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR Master’s degree with 3 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR PhD with 0 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience.
• · Highly Proficient in designing visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• · Proficient with time studies and capacity modeling.
• · Proficient with Process control methods (SPC/control charts).
• · Proficient with Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).

Preferred Qualifications:

• · Experience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methods.
• · At least 1 year of demonstrated manufacturing experience.
• · Experience with Lean Manufacturing Methods.
• · Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• · SAP S/4 HANA Cloud ERP system experience.
• · Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• · 2 years of demonstrated experience leading project teams.
• · Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, or other programming languages.
• · Familiarity with mixed model manufacturing operations.
• · Familiarity with workstation ergonomics.
• · Experience with agile methods of project management or development.

MANUMS

Salary Range: $68,500.00 - $102,700.00Salary Range 2: $84,200.00 - $126,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
