Conjunction Assessment Analyst

Omitron is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fulfill a full-time position as a Senior Conjunction Assessment Analyst to support NASA’s Conjunction Assessment and Risk Analysis (CARA) team. The CARA analyst team is a friendly, motived team driven to continuously expand our conjunction assessment knowledge to support NASA’s risk mitigation mission.  The senior CA analyst will collaborate with engineers, operators, and industry to predict and anticipate future CA needs.  Research will be done for the purposes of publishing and implementing new concepts into operations.

Required Skills:

• Experience with orbit determination, orbit mechanics, covariance analysis, collision avoidance, statistics, or related field
• Experience with applied mathematics related to statistical analysis
• Experience with mathematical computing tools such as Matlab or Python
• Strong presentation skills

US Citizenship required/EEO/AA/E-Verify Participation

Required Experience: +4 years experience.

Required Degree: BS in astrodynamics, mathematics, physics, or related technical degree.  MS or PhD preferred

Job Location: Hybrid with on-site location in Colorado Springs, CO (Omitron Colorado office)
