Job description

As a General Helper, you will support daily manufacturing operations at our production facility in Redondo. Impulse is building an exceptional team and this position is a growth opportunity open to high performers of any experience level above the basic qualifications. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on with space flight hardware, equipment & tools.

Responsibilities

Support a wide range of company operations
Perform hands-on manufacturing work (hand & power tools, assembly, testing, etc.)
Perform lifting and moving operations
Maintain facilities such as factory floors, machining equipment, and testing assets
Train under the guidance of senior employees and continuously develop skills

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of work experience and a valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving manual labor
Must have great communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to respond to changes in direction and priority while working multiple tasks at one time
Ability to solve problems and quickly implement solutions

Preferred Skills and Experience

Prior experience working in a fast-paced agile development environment
Experience with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools, tube bending, machining, welding, etc.)
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or construction trades
Experience with forklifts, cranes and similar moving equipment

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
