What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a People Operations Intern to join our Global People Operations team in Espoo, Finland. As a People Operations Intern you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and gain experience in onboarding, benefits administration, relocation and people process development. The main focus is on Finland related people practices but in this role you will have an exposure also to other countries ICEYE is operating in. This role is a great opportunity to learn the core people practices related to the employment life cycle. Our internships are paid, fixed-term, and maximum 6-month contracts.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Administer new joiners’ onboarding activities.
  • Work with our relocation partner and Talent Attraction team to coordinate relocation of new employees.
  • Take care of local benefits administration in Finland with our benefits vendors.
  • Participate in preparation of People and Culture related internal communications.
  • Maintain and develop People and Culture knowledge bases.
  • Participate in people processes development as part of the People and Culture team.

Requirements

  • Studies: You've already embarked on your educational journey towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields like Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • HR Operations Experience: Experience in HR operations is a plus! If you've dabbled in people process management and compliance, we'd love to hear about it.
  • Tech Savvy: Do you thrive in the Google or Microsoft environment? Experience with Google Sheets, Slides, or Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a bonus.
  • Attention to Detail: The little things matter! We value individuals who pay attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Can you charm your way through a conversation? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with fluency in English, are key.
  • Curiosity and Motivation: We want someone who is motivated to learn the ins and outs of core people processes.
  • Adaptability: Can you adjust to the changes in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for interns who can work independently and collaborate when needed.
  • Tech Industry Enthusiasm: While not mandatory, prior experience in the tech industry or similar dynamic environments is a definite plus.
