Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking two Digital Electronics Design Engineers (level 4 and 5). As part of Boeing's Space & Missile Systems division, Satellite Systems manages the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions. Satellite Systems leads all aspects of the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of satellites. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of state-of-the art electronics for space-based applications

  • Duties will include circuit design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification

  • Technical support for production and test of space-qualified electronic

  • Lead projects involving digital and analog circuit design.

  • Responsible for digital design, worst case circuit analysis, and/or satellite communications systems

  • Works under general to minimal direction

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Level 4:

  • Bachelor's in engineering degree or higher

  • 5 or more years' in Electrical Engineering experience

  • 3 or more years of experience with digital circuit design

Level 5:

  • Bachelor's in engineering degree or higher

  • 10 or more years' in Electrical Engineering experience

  • 5 or more years of experience with digital circuit design

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with digital electronics

  • Circuit design and analysis experience

  • Electronics-oriented work experience

  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SBI Clearance

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

P4 Summary pay range: 126,650 - $171,350

P5 Summary pay range: $155,550 - $210,450
