Quality Assurance Engineer - Electrical

Pixxel is a space data company building a health monitor for our planet. We are doing that by deploying a constellation of some of the world's most advanced earth imaging satellites in lower earth orbit and an analytics platform (on ground) with tools that enable easy application of this data across a multitude of sectors. Our fully deployed constellation will be capable of beaming down daily imagery of any place on earth. This role will contribute towards the quality assurance for the design and production of Pixxel's hyperspectral satellites.

Job Description:

• Conduct Product and Quality Assurance activities across requirements, design and manufacturing stages within electrical & electronics engineering teams.
• Review and drive the vendor/supplier/subcontractor related product assurance activities, including assessment of supplier approaches, policies and processes, lead audits, and support ongoing supplier management activities in areas of product assurance
• Review materials, parts and processes against PA and technical requirements, as per latest industry standards (ISRO PAX, NASA/ESA PA standards and guidelines)
• Generate Product Assurance documentation for projects, and implement assurance plans as required in cooperation with the team
• Witness manufacturing and testing activities and provide input as required, including at 3rd party facilities
• Check and maintain quality control data and records collected during PA/QA management activities
• Review of requirements and their compliance in the design, manufacture and testing phases
• Creation, review and management of Request for Deviations, Request for Waivers and Non-Conformance Reports

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in similar QA/PA job profiles, in defense, aerospace or automotive or medical electronics industries
• Very good grasp over electrical and electronics design and operating principles
• Very good grasp over best practices for Schematics, Layout, Bill of Materials, Harness designs etc
• Good knowledge of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity aspects of designs.
• Working knowledge of implementing and reviewing designs that cater to the ISRO, NASA, ESA standards for EEE designs
• Working knowledge of reliability analysis including detailed steps, calculations, analysis and studies
• Working knowledge of design FMECA processes and design WCA processes. 
• Good experience with requirements analysis and compliance studies, along with processes involved in Waiver requests, Non-Conformances etc.
• Good experience with equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters etc to review and study test set ups and test reports, including PCB inspections etc.
• Good knowledge of PCB material properties, stack up details and reliability aspects of manufacturing.
• Good knowledge and experience in identifying workmanship issues in PCB assembly, soldering processes and other assembly and integration aspects of EEE components.
• Good experience in working with teams to identify risks in non-conformance with requirements.
