Role Overview:
As the Director of Corporate Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Ursa Major’s strategic direction. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for driving growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fundraising initiatives, and investor relations. We are seeking an innovative leader who can navigate complex financial landscapes, build strategic partnerships, and help secure funding to fuel our expansion.
Responsibilities:
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Identify potential acquisition targets aligned with Ursa Major’s growth strategy.
- Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation assessments for M&A opportunities.
- Lead negotiations, deal structuring, and integration planning.
Fundraising:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure capital for Ursa Major’s ambitious projects.
- Engage with venture capital firms, private equity investors, and other funding sources.
- Prepare compelling investment materials and pitch presentations.
Investor Relations:
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential investors.
- Provide transparent communication regarding Ursa Major’s financial performance, milestones, and growth prospects.
- Organize investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate as required to explore partnership opportunities.
- Leverage partnerships to enhance Ursa Major’s market position and access new markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with legal, finance, and executive teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Provide strategic input to the executive leadership team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Proven track record in M&A, fundraising, or investor relations within the aerospace, defense, or technology sectors.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $140,000 - $210,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
