LMDS has an opening for a Staff Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist (Level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chandler, Arizona. With Huntsville, AL, Magna, UT, and Promontory, UT as alternate locations.
Job Description
As a Supply Chain Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance posture of our supply chain organization and providing appropriate risk mitigation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance, support, and strategic direction in all aspects of supply chain management.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supporting global supply chain acquisition professionals with their review and negotiations of complex terms and conditions related to various agreements, purchase orders, subcontracts, and long-term ordering agreements, ensuring the resultant negotiated language complies with company policies and customer terms and conditions, while providing the best protection to Northrop Grumman.
Conducting assessments and due diligence on business partners to mitigate legal, reputational, and/or performance risks due to insolvency and/or issues arising from claims.
Work closely with Contract Professionals to assist in providing feedback on terms that impact subcontractors and the supply chain organization and help prepare flow down requirements for subcontracts when applicable.
Educating and training supply chain teams on contractual requirements, compliance obligations, and risk management strategies.
- Researching contractual issues for the Global Supply Chain organization, prior to escalation to Division Legal Counsel and reviewing complex legal issues with Counsel as appropriate to support audit activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years experience, or a Master’s Degree with at least years experience or High School Diploma/equivalent with at least 19 years of combined experience in Subcontracts, Procurement and/or Supplier Management
Experience with Subcontracts, Procurement and/or Contracts
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS/NFS clauses
Experience in the Aerospace, Defense or Manufacturing industry
Understanding of Government contracting requirements and international contracting
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Experience drafting and negotiating terms & conditions, solicitations, purchases, long-term pricing agreements, or various contractual agreements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
