GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. The company uses its own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions. 

 

We are seeking a Product Director to join our team. Reporting to the SVP Products & Operations, you will articulate our product vision and roadmaps. You will work closely with our sales, marketing and engineering teams to lead product launches and define new features. This is a role that requires a mix of strategic and technical thinking, with strong interpersonal skills.  

 

This is a full-time position that requires occasional international travel (quarterly).  

 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain, and manage the product plan for all GHGSat business lines, including roadmaps, pricing, service terms etc: 
• Write clear product documentation/customer requirements that will anchor operations and revenue generation; 
• Analyze market segments to pursue; 
• Influence key stakeholders across our organization to align intent and prioritization; 
• Ensure alignment with government guidelines; 
• Lead product/feature launches including release notes, webinars, training; 
• Support the Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams as the primary evangelist for the product lines; 
• Review bids and proposals; 
• Participate in the Revenue forecast process 

 

Skills: 

• Excellent written and verbal command of English. Bilingual (French/English) is preferable. 
• Leadership skills, specifically in hiring and developing individual contributors and managers 
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences including senior executives 
• Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities to drive consensus and resolve issues 
• Fluent in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles, specifically in data products 
   

Requirements: 

• Must be able to obtain Canadian government security clearance 
• 5+ years of experience in data-driven and evidence-based product management, with a track record of successful product launches 
• 3+ years in leadership roles at Director-level or above in product management functions 
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or analytics related relevant field (or equivalent work experience in a related field). Candidates with MBA or equivalent will be prioritized
