Here at ATL, we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and external production customers, as well as continuously define and develop new and emerging technologies. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. Our devices enable several Northrop Grumman’s maritime, ground-based, avionic, and space-based radar systems.
We are seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Process (AOI & Tool Automation) Development Engineer to help develop automated process for inspection and handling of microelectronics (wafer and packaged devices) manufactured using advanced fabrication and packaging technologies. This individual will be responsible for understanding product requirements, develop necessary automated capabilities for material inspection and handling, generate proper process documentation, and support tool ownership. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring product recipe development, maintain process controls, equipment calibration, equipment maintenance and compliance to customer documents (e.g., Source Control Documents). The candidate must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and or Microelectronics Engineering with 2 years of related experience or a Master's Degree or PhD with 0 years of related experience
Microelectronics/semiconductor process knowledge
Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings
Ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in microelectronics BEOL process engineering
Experience with wafer/die/packaged device process flow and handling requirements
Direct hands-on experience automated inspection or robotic handler equipment
Direct experience in preparing and presenting presentations to cross-functional teams
