To support the activities of our Software Engineering Team in our office in Gilching near Munich, we are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer. The tasks include design, develop and test software and will focus on the Galileo Ground Segment L3 software maintenance.

The tasks include design, develop and test software and will focus on the Galileo Ground Segment L3 software maintenance.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Upgrade and maintenance of our in-house development and testing environments
- Software problem analysis and resolution
- Support to anomaly resolution boards
- Change request analysis and implementation
- Code coverage and acceptance testing
- Bug fixing and implementation of new functionality
- Product assurance and configuration management
- Coordination with L2 maintenance team
- Maintenance release preparation following the Galileo Software Standard for Ground (GSWS-G)
- Full life-cycle application development
- Full-stack web application development
- Designing, coding and debugging applications
- Software analysis and requirements analysis
- Graphical user interface design (mainly web)
- Software testing and quality assurance
- Evaluation and identification of new technologies for implementation
Your profile
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Proficiency in Java, other programming languages are a plus
- Interest in working with web technologies: javascript frameworks, html5, css3
- Comfortable on configuring and using building tools (e.g. maven, gradle)
- Experience with Issue tracking systems such as Jira or Easy Redmine
- Experience in software configuration management (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Experience with databases
- Experience on application deployment on Linux systems desirable
- System-minded and a team player
- Able to work in an interdisciplinary and international team
- Self-starter, able to work independently with little or no supervision in a small team
- Fluency in English
