Maxar is seeking a part-time Geospatial Analyst to become a member of our Geospatial Production team. As a valued team member, you will assist our customers in executing their global mission with expert understanding and applicability of their geospatial data.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
- Embark on a global adventure in remote sensing and visually explore the world from your computer screen
- Performs geographic information systems (GIS) analyses on diverse global data.
- Analyzes imagery using advanced remote sensing software.
- Works as part of a team to meet dynamic project requirements
- Communicates effectively via instant message, video chat or in person
- Uses technical software to analyze raster and vector data.
- Applies logic and reasoning during analysis to propose ways to improve efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements for this position:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), or related discipline (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree)
- Experience using ArcGIS 10 and extensions and ERDAS Imagine 2018+
- Minimum of 2 years' experience producing NGA standard and non-standard products and datasets, specifically including prior experience working on Maxar land and ground cover projects
- Handle complexity, ambiguity, and shifting priorities with ease. Display a willingness to play the role needed for project success
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in an online setting.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), or related discipline
- Advanced knowledge of products to conduct thorough quality assurance assessments at each stage of production
- Technical understanding of customer requirements and ability to understand requirements laid out from official customer documentation.
- Capable of providing constructive written or verbal feedback to colleagues
- Proven track record of building and managing strong collaborative relationships
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
- Consistent track record of delivering key metrics, high level of energy, commitment, optimism, and passion for the business
- Ability to work with team members to come up with innovative solutions when project roadblocks occur
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$25.78 - $42.97 hourly.
