SUMMARY:  Axiom Space is currently seeking a dedicated Workday HCM Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The Workday HCM Support Specialist will be the go-to expert for providing support and guidance to our HR teams, managers, and employees on various aspects of the Workday platform.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an expert resource for HR transactions and business process configuration, providing guidance to HR team, managers, and employees on system usage and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficient in creating, loading, and validating EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) or utilizing other Mass Operation tasks within Workday Administrator Tasks.
  • Skilled in constructing calculated fields and developing custom reports to meet organizational needs.
  • Lead and manage various operational tasks and projects, including ticket resolution, annual cycle activities support, and new feature implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with HRIS leadership, business partners, and technical teams to enhance processes, gather requirements, document changes, configure solutions, and ensure user adoption.
  • Review, test, and implement bi-annual Workday releases, determining impacts, presenting new features, participating in regression testing, and communicating changes to end-users.
  • Manage and execute case management tickets and ongoing system enhancement tasks, including configuration and testing within the Workday HCM system.
  • Maintain master data values in Workday, such as Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, and Locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess over 4 years of progressive experience in Workday HCM, with expertise in one or more functional areas such as HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, Absence, and Benefits modules.
  • Demonstrated capability to innovate, initiate, lead, and manage change within the organization.
  • Extensive experience with a wide range of information technology solutions for HR, enabling effective utilization and optimization of systems.
  • Proficient in process analysis, systems analysis, technical analysis, systems implementation, and operations, contributing to the enhancement and efficiency of HR processes and systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of hands-on HCM technical support experience.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or human resources, or relevant major, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Previous role emphasized client-centric approach and adherence to metrics.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of trouble shooting and capital management systems
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
