ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

Who you are:

The Senior IT Engineer is a key player in the maintenance and advancement of our company's IT infrastructure. This role involves leading multiple IT projects, ensuring effective development, deployment, and maintenance of IT server and network infrastructures, maintaining system security, and spearheading investigations into IT incidents and problems. The candidate will be responsible for incorporating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to scale and optimize our IT environment.

In the role, you will:

  • Take a leading role in multiple IT projects simultaneously, providing regular status reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain robust IT server infrastructure in compliance with internal IT controls and industry best practices.
  • Design, implement, and oversee the maintenance of IT network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Proactively maintain system security through regular patch updates and systematic lifecycle management of IT assets.
  • Lead thorough investigations into IT problems and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand IT needs and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Stay abreast of the latest IT trends and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance system performance and security.
  • Participate in the creation and review of IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Optional: Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide critical support outside of standard business hours, addressing urgent IT issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in IT infrastructure development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Experience operating within IT projects with a track record of participating in successful IT projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of server and network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and protocols.
  • Experience with system security practices, including patch management and lifecycle management of IT assets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead investigations into IT incidents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
