Team: 

The Accounting team at Relativity is responsible for the financial integrity of the entire organizationOur functions include general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, audit, tax and compliance, accounts receivable, credit, cost accounting, and business data strategy. 

By collecting and maintaining the business’s financial activities in accordance with US GAAP, we are able to provide accurate and timely financial reports for strategic planning and decision-making purposes to management, investors, and other stakeholders. This empowers the company to make smart business decisions as we pave the way to a multi-planetary future. 

As Senior Program Manager, you will be planning, executing, and overseeing project activities encompassing all aspects of Accounting and ControllershipYou will be responsible for driving the department's strategic roadmap and connecting all accounting teams for alignment and transparencyBecause the problems will be ambiguous and will have enterprise-level impact, we are looking for a high visibility, creative, and hands-on leader (and generalist) to own the coordination and execution across multiple workstreamsHigh judgment, strong leadership, and strategic influence are foundational elements for this role. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Program Development & Quality Assurance: Work with VP Controller and other key stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverablesWork with cross-functional teams to determine and evangelize dependencies that are critical to program deliverables.  Establish and enforce quality standards for program deliverables, implementing changes and enhancements for improvement based on program performance. 
  • Strategic Planning & Risk Management: Align program goals with the overall strategic objectives of Accounting, using data to lead and ensuring the Accounting teams commit to an aggressive but achievable scope of work and project timelineThis includes analyzing requirements, resources, and dependencies to create and distribute to the team around a reliable timeline and schedule Identify potential risks to the program across all variables (time, requirements, resources, dependencies, etc.) and work with cross-functional stakeholders to propose go-forward optionsRegularly assess and report on program risks to stakeholders. 
  • Project Management & Documentation: Responsible for the planning, execution, and closure of individual projects within the programImplement and enhance project management methodologies to improve efficiency as appropriate.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation. 
  • Resource Planning & Budget Management: Allocate resources efficiently to ensure successful program deliveryMonitor and manage resources utilization, making adjustments as needed.  Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently. 
  • Stakeholder Communication & Rhythm of Business: Act as a liaison between program stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaborationRepresent the program by reporting status of goals, workstreams, and KPIs to a broad team of stakeholders within and outside of Accounting including senior managementOwn and drive the updates and team alignment cadence and other recurring mechanisms to ensure team alignment. 
  • Team Leadership & Growth Mindset: Build and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environmentProvide guidance and support to project leads and team members.  Live and breathe a growth mindset by learning various technical aspects of our business, including accounting & finance, engineering/manufacturing, etc. 

What you need to know: 

  • 7+ years of experience in a program development or project management role within an accounting or relevant business org
  • 7+ years of experience working in or directly with accounting, finance, and business teams 
  • Highly organized and goal-oriented – proven track record of successful program delivery, building sustainable processes, and managing multiple schedules and project timelines at different stages and with multiple stakeholders from start to finish
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to navigate both technical and strategic discussions with individual contributions and people leaders
  • Strong executive presence and coaching/facilitation skills, including ability to drive clarity and action across all levels within the department and company; 
  • A problem-solver and decision-maker – ability to identify challenges and roadblocks, analyze options, come up with creative and original solutions, and make informed decisions to ensure program success
  • Intermediary manufacturing and financial system knowledge, including ERP, MRP, MES, etc.

Nice to have but not required: 

  • MBA or CPA designation preferred 
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards 
  • Experience working with data analytics and business intelligence 
  • Past aerospace or manufacturing experience is a plus!
