What will you be doing?

This is an exciting role that enables you to have an impact in Open Cosmos. 


  • As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and efficient financial record-keeping, reporting, and analysis. 
  • Alongside this you’ll be making sure our office runs productively, safely and smoothly, becoming the “go to” contact and being responsible for maintenance and improvement. 
  • In this role, you will be encouraged to take on new challenges and initiatives, contributing to the success of the organization as a whole. What you need to be successful

  • You’ll have a good practical knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting concepts.
  • You’ll be able to apply inventory principles.
  • You’ll demonstrate excellent organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise and deliver.
  • You’ll be keen to innovate and employ your strong IT skills, helping us to operate in a paperless setting and on a remote first basis.
  • You’ll be comfortable working across a diverse number of functions and supporting your colleagues with travel arrangements, event coordination, documentation drafting and filing, including coordinating board reporting contributions.
  • You will be making sure the team has everything they need to do their jobs effectively - from technical equipment, to supplies and, of course, snacks.
  • You’ll have a keen eye for detail and you’ll be proactive in your approach to problem solving
  • You’ll have a good appreciation of working in a value adding team to deliver shared objectives
