Position Description: The Software Intern will provide support to senior level staff with computer software systems, provide feedback and participate in the design process.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Designs and develops computer software for the motor control of a 2-axis gimbal.
  • Derives equations governing the relationship between low orbit satellites and ground stations.
  • Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process.
  • Performs software systems testing with a focus on procedures and programming.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a Junior or Senior in a post-secondary Computer Science, Mathematics, or related Degree program
  • Previous intern experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of software systems and programming languages.
  • Familiar with software engineering tools and applications.

 

Salary Range: $25 - $27/hour
