Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to hire a MBSE Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

  • The selected candidate will be part of the Command and Launch Command and Control (C2) Product Engineering Team.
  • Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
  • Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system.
  • Support requirement decomposition and traceability.
  • Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
  • Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance.
  • Contribute content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Systems Engineer: bachelor’s degree in STEM with at least 2 years of related systems engineering experience, 0 years with a master's
  • Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain special access.
  • Principal Systems Engineer: bachelor’s degree in STEM with at least 5 years of related systems engineering experience. 3 years with a master’s degree
  • Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain special access.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • 1 year of technical and MBSE experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle.
  • 1 year of experience with DOORS
  • Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering V
  • Experience creating RVAMs.
  • Experience leading scrum teams
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Experience with Agile Development and implementing Agile metrics.
  • Experience with Unified Profile for DoDAF and MoDAF (UPDM), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), and/or the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Experience using Requirements repository tools (i.e., DOORS).

Salary Range: $75,300.00 - $112,900.00Salary Range 2: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
