Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Facilities Planner/Principal Facilities Planner. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds.
Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation.
Performs routine repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance inspections of office facilities and equipment.
Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified.
Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules. Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.
Able to test, inspect, troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment, using sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.
This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Facilities Planner: 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.
Principal Facilities Planner: 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license to drive company facilities vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
In scope active DOD Secret clearance or above.
Prior Northrop Grumman experience in Facilities and Construction.
Prior Northrop Grumman experience in facilities, space planning, construction management, and integration.
Familiarity with facility layouts, drawings, and schematics.
Experience supporting Northrop Grumman or government contracting/DoD facilities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all stakeholders and SDS leadership.
5+ years of ICBM experience.
