Job description

Do you enjoy collaborating with others to create innovative products and services? At Sierra Space, you will work in multidisciplinary teams to bring concept of operations to fruition to further our customers’ mission objectives. You will work both independently and as part of a team. Join us! As an Integration Engineer, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll consult with program management, design engineers, quality, and production teams in order to develop the most efficient and cost effective means of producing our products at the highest level of quality possible.

As an Integration Engineer on the Dream Chaser team, you will be part of the team responsible for build and integration of the fluids and propulsion, electrical and harnessing, and mechanism systems across the Dream Chaser and Cargo Module vehicles. This role will work heavily alongside both the design and production teams and is responsible for design for manufacturing, concepting tooling, establishing the overall build plans, and supporting execution of the production floor for spacecraft systems. The role requires direct involvement in the component builds through integration of complete vehicle-wide systems; acting as one of the primary driving forces to the successful builds of these vehicles.

Integration Engineers will be highly engaged in the fabrication, test, and integration of a wide range of vehicle and production systems, including designing processes and tooling to rapidly build the Dream Chaser vehicles. As the build progresses, this role will be responsible for integration operations sequencing, and working with technicians to install flight-critical hardware on the vehicle.
