Job description

Duties

Leads a team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees, arranging for team member training while monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of work.
Serves as an expert advisor on subjects of inspection systems, test monitoring and surveillance.
Develops and maintains operating procedures and assures that all test procedures and associated quality control records are maintained in accordance with the approved methods.
Monitors and performs a wide variety of complex, integrated aerospace vehicle and propulsion systems, subsystems, experiments, and component assembly and test activities and affiliated configuration and quality control requirements/procedures.
Assures successful close out of all quality assurance controlling documentation associated with tests and facility preparation and modification.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

Coordinating Center test schedules/resources to ensure Safety and Mission Assurance obligations are met;
Verifying aerospace product quality for safety and compliance; and
Assisting in the development of test procedures for aerospace product quality.
