DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Enforce/encourage Design for Excellence (DfX) program and Product Life Cycle
  • Assist in planning and execution of product life cycle including facilitating reviews and product delivery
  • Steward the product life cycle by participating in engineering design and interfacing with design engineers; seek out shortcomings and recommend process improvements
  • Recognize DfX concerns and appropriately connect engineers and designers with DfX experts if that communication and information exchange is not already occurring
  • Elevate issues and provide status to DfX Lead for resolution
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure design considerations are accounted for
  • Collaborate with experts to distill and implement new DfX considerations

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other technically related area is required.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in product development, design process, or Design for Excellence programs
  • Agile / Scrum experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Goal driven, detail oriented and approachable with the ability to prioritize and work well in a fast paced start-up environment.

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

 

Requirements 

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
