Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking SDS Digital Transformation Software Engineer / Principal Digital Transformation Software Engineer. This position will be Telecommute and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. You will also conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

You will be expected to determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. It will be your responsibility to ensure software standards are met.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Software Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 0 Years with Masters, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with SQL Databases (MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle, etc.) and/or NoSQL Databases (Mongo, Cassandra, Redis, Neo4j etc.)
• Experience with Python, Javascript, Node.js, React
• Experience with Kafka, AWS, Azure, and/or Docker
• Experience with Agile software development practices.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Neo4j Graph Database experience is highly valued.
• Working understanding of ETL pipelines such as AirFlow, Alteryx, AWS Glue or similar.
• DevOps experience (Continuous Integration, Containerization)

Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $146,300.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
