The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Mid-Level Facility Project Management Specialist to join the team located at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Find your future with us. Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) X-37B is the United States’ most advanced, state-of-the-art reentry space craft. Boeing is the prime contractor for the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), an unmanned space vehicle that is used by the United States Space Force to explore reusable space vehicle technologies in support of long-term space objectives.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing all aspects of small to mid-sized facilities projects from pre-construction planning through project execution to project closeout. Develops project requirements, integrated plans, and detailed work breakdown structure to achieve objectives within established scope, budget, and schedule. Monitors and communicates project status, current baselines, changes, risks/ issues/ opportunities, and help needed. Performs variance analysis, critical path scheduling, cash flow projections, cost tracking, and makes recommendations for change. Coordinates ongoing project tasks and serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, architects and engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and external suppliers. Performs project management and change management activities in accordance with industry principles and standards. Completes closeout of projects and documents lessons learned.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish objectives and may provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working condition.
Anticipates egress/ingress safety concerns
Applies proper safety techniques and storage methods.
Is knowledgeable of the security requirements for multiple areas.
With minimal supervision, plans and arranges team schedules in support of daily cleaning activities and revises schedule if warranted.
Obtains and provides information to lessen customer business disruption during custodial activities.
Maintains awareness of supply levels and initiates reorder when supply goes below required levels.
Tracks orders, maintains documentation and ensures supply delivery to required areas.
All additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location (Kennedy Space Center in Florida).
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Special Programs Access - Position contingent on program access being granted.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)
Facility Project Management experience
Experience with Project or Construction Management
Experience with Department of Defense projects
Experience managing material or spares inventories within an automated database
Ability to lift 35 to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
Able and willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Experience in departmental leadership positions providing technical direction and guidance to others
Able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks in cleanroom garments
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Government/Department of Defense facilities
Experience with Government/Department of Defense building codes and regulations
Good organization skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work within a team
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
