As part of the Engineering Team we are looking for a Navigation Engineer, the ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Be part of integrated Navigation Engineering team co-located  in Rome working in G2G satellite, Lunar, LEO PNT and Export opportunities in close cooperation with engineering community
  • To act as RF Payloads Engineer into the engineering team for navigation evolution program.
  • Support the pre-developments activities related in the areas of Navigation Payload, Analysis and Performance
  • To support development and procurement phase of Navigation Payload equipment
  • Contribute to internal and R&D activities for the design, modelling, architectural trade-off and performance assessment of advanced RF payloads (emphasis on Signal , Antennas, RF and Antenna parts);
  • Perform technical management of R&D activities with industry in the field of advanced payload concepts and sub-systems/equipment development;
  • Provide RF payload technical support to projects and programmes;
  • Contribute to the generation and promotion of innovative ideas in the field of RF payloads for navigation;
  • Contribute to the development/usage of section related laboratory facilities and analysis/simulation tools;
  • Maintain state-of-the-art expertise by monitoring the space technological trends and applying them in the day-to-day tasks.

  • Acting as technical interface with the Customer, including coordination of the Navigation Engineering Team, as needed; presentation of the achieved results in technical meetings in front of national and international stakeholders (industrial entities, customer, conferences

Skills & Experience 

PhD /University Master degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent;

  • Proven experience in the signal processing, modelling, analyses and simulations;
  • Very good attitude in team working and cooperation with the other team members;
  • Good Knowledge of Navigation satellite systems, including good background of Radio Frequency payloads measurements instruments for space systems;
  • Very good knowledge of software, simulation tools and programming (Matlab/Simulink,  C/C++, Python) including Architectural Framework Tools (Melody, Modaf,..) ;
  • Team-working, problem solving;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory;
  • Italian languages is desirable;
  • Applicants must have work experience on classified activities and must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administration.
