Red Canyon Software is looking for a passionate Electronics Test Engineer to help develop the future generation of space lasers! As a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, functionality, and performance of our optical communications terminals. Leveraging your telecommunications background and engineering expertise, you will conduct board testing, subsystem level testing, and system level testing to validate the integrity and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and strategies tailored to project requirements.
  • Conduct board testing to verify the functionality and performance of individual components and circuit boards within optical communications terminals.
  • Perform subsystem level testing to validate interoperability and performance of subsystems within the terminals.
  • Orchestrate system level testing to evaluate end-to-end functionality, performance, and reliability of complete optical communications systems.
  • Utilize measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies to perform testing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Basic scripting knowledge is desirable for test automation and efficiency.

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Telecommunications specialization preferred).
  • Proven experience in board testing, subsystem level testing, and system level testing of optical communications terminals.
  • Proficiency in the use of measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team work spirit

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of optical communication systems
  • Basic scripting knowledge for test automation and efficiency.
  • Clean room environment experience
  • 5 yearsโ€™ experience in a similar position
  • Spanish speaking a plus
  • Interest in growing your skillset as part of our international team
