Pixxel is a space data company building a health monitor for our planet. We are doing that by deploying a constellation of some of the world's most advanced earth imaging satellites in lower earth orbit and an analytics platform (on ground) with tools that enable easy application of this data across a multitude of sectors. Our fully deployed constellation will be capable of beaming down daily imagery of any place on earth. This role will contribute towards the software integration and testing of Pixxel's satellite constellation and will be part of our production team.

Responsibilities:

  1. As a part of Pixxel’s Satellite production group, you will be responsible for testing of the embedded flight software during satellite AIT. 
  2. You’ll be responsible for implementing the test plans developed to qualify the system, hence should be proficient in interpreting and following a test plan. 
  3. You’ll also be responsible for the operation of various testing and monitoring equipment used during the testing process.


Basic Qualification:

  1. ITI Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  2. Working experience in any automated test framework.
  3. 5+ years Experience working hands-on with projects that involve embedded software testing of highly critical and complex systems such as spacecrafts, satellite systems etc.
  4. Certification from organisations like ISRO for embedded software testing would be a bonus. 


Skills/Requirements:

  1. Experience in reading and understanding datasheets, technical reports, wiring diagrams, schematics and test plans is a must.
  2. Should have a basic hold on scripting using C and Python
  3. Experience in using tools: Git, Version Control.
  4. Understanding of concepts involved in electrical and mechanical integration and processes, with strong command over relevant software tools.
  5. Strong understanding of test campaigns and ability to quickly and accurately document test reports and results.
  6. Strong experience and proficiency in using test equipment, including but not limited to, power supplies, oscilloscopes, current monitors, loads, multimeters.
  7. Knowledge of ESD phenomena and best practices to prevent ESD, surface cleaning and preparation processes.
