Internship Overview:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Structures and Design team as an intern. This internship is tailored for students pursuing degrees in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields, providing a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of aerospace design and structures. Under the supervision and mentorship of senior engineers you could expect the following:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Design: Contribute to the design and analysis of aerospace structures, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements.
2. Thermal Systems: Assist in the development and analysis of thermal systems, including thermal control solutions for spacecraft and related components.
3. Collaborative Design: Work closely with the design and engineering teams to support various stages of the product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to testing and validation.
4. CAD Modeling: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of aerospace components and structures.
5. Analysis and Simulation: Participate in structural and thermal analysis using simulation tools to evaluate the performance and integrity of designs.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design decisions, calculations, and simulation results to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project.

Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Certifications and associates backgrounds also welcome.
2. Strong interest in aerospace structures, thermal systems, and design.
3. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Soliworks) and structural analysis tools.
4. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
5. Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a dynamic aerospace engineering environment.
