Job description

As the Marketing Director at GHGSat, you will be at the helm of our marketing efforts, responsible for lead generation and tracking initiatives for our sales team, managing global events, and overseeing comprehensive content creation strategies, including our website and sales collateral. Your team will be made up of Lead Generation, Industry Marketing, Event Management, Content Management and Digital Marketing Co-ordinators. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding this team, including remote members, towards achieving our marketing objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Lead Generation and Tracking:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lead generation strategies to support the sales team in meeting targets.
  • Utilize various marketing channels such as digital advertising, email campaigns, social media, and content marketing to generate high-quality leads.
  • Work with Sales Ops to implement robust tracking mechanisms to monitor lead quality, progression through the sales funnel, and overall campaign effectiveness.


2. Global Event Management:

  • Oversee the management of events globally such as conferences, trade shows, webinars, and seminars to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  •  Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Evaluate the success of each event through metrics such as attendance, lead generation, and ROI, and iterate strategies for continuous improvement.


3. Content Creation Oversight:

  • Drive the development of engaging and impactful content across various channels, including the company website, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and sales collateral.
  • Maintain brand consistency and adherence to messaging guidelines across all content assets.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure content aligns with product roadmaps, marketing objectives and resonates with target audiences.


4. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team of marketing professionals, including remote team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback and coaching to support their professional growth and development.
  • Effectively manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives and projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a focus on lead generation, event management, and content creation, preferably in a B2B technology or SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics tools, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to drive lead generation and track campaign performance.
  • Demonstrated experience with global events, including planning, execution, post-event analysis and optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of marketing professionals.
  • Exceptional English communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Public Relations, Communications and Branding experience a plus, but not required.
