United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks a skilled Subcontract Administration Specialist to support the General Procurement team at the ULA production facility in Decatur, AL.
- Assists in the development of complex subcontract specifications, work statements, and other technical requirements documents.
- Serves as a focal point for the subcontractor.
- Prepares request for quote (RFQ) and proposal (RFP) packages, conducts biddersβ conferences, analyzes and evaluates supplier proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects subcontract sources, creates subcontract documents, and administers resulting subcontracts.
- Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts as necessary.
- Participates with Supply Chain Governance to ensure compliance with ULA Supply Chain Command Media, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and standard ULA business processes.
- Coordinates with engineering, quality, and finance as necessary to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve supplier issues.
- As a member of the high-performing General Procurement team, successful execution of SCA-2 responsibilities will require: working collaboratively in a team environment, clearly communicating hardware/tooling/service requirements and expectations to suppliers to ensure optimal value for ULA, and effectively communicating outcomes to internal/external customers.

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel as this position will require a significant amount of data mining (can run pivots, complex sorting, vlookup, etc.).
- Proficiency with SAP ERP System (or similar ERP system).
- Effective communication and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading and tracking projects.
- Successful negotiation experience.
- Government and/or commercial procurement experience.
- Supply chain procurement experience - issuing and managing contracts per a company process/procedure.
