We’re on the hunt for an Electrician on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:
Performs the various tasks and activities of an electrician in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code. In addition, may be required to perform the tasks of the trade apprentice Among other things, you will have to check grounding defects, circuit and load integrity, and perform repairs and installations in our facilities. You will also execute preventive maintenance programs.
Work performed:
- Evaluate and perform minor repairs, modifications and installations on fire safety and protection systems, paging system, motors (heating and air conditioning system), generators, electrical distribution of equipment and machine tools and electrical devices in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Perform minor repairs, inspections and high voltage repairs.
- Issue a detailed report and recommendations on the state of the current electricity grid.
- Adjust or modify the programming of maintenance-related PLCs.
- Install different types of grounding in laboratories and others.
- Update local electrical plans following modifications or alterations made.
- Maintain an inventory of electrical equipment to perform daily preventive maintenance tasks.
- Guide and support the work of apprentice electricians and subcontractors.
- Provide service to internal customers.
- All other related tasks.
Minimum qualifications required:
- Hold a D.E.C. in electricity or a D.E.P. in industrial electricity and have a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the Manufactory industry;
- Be a holder of a class C license;
- Be recognized as a person who does not compromise on safety;
- Have proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
- Be available outside normal working hours for emergencies;
- Successfully complete the various tests of the selection process.
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of the codes and regulations that govern the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques required to maintain electrical equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety

Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
