You will be leading the assessment of existing and new design concepts and provide technical guidance to the other propulsion engineers, while taking critical decisions and developing critical systems yourself.

More specifically, you will:

  • Define scope and objectives of engine/sub-component test campaigns and work closely with the testing departments to ensure the achievement of the test objectives
  • Define, perform and present detailed performance/heat transfer/fluid-dynamic/acoustic analyses of combustion devices components and assess the test objective fulfillment
  • Anchor model predictions to test data and work closely with designers to inform design paths and validate requirement compliance
  • Guide test setups / instrumentation and infrastructure improvements based on test campaign results to increase testing cadence and test success rate
  • Define design work / improvements for the subdepartment designs and keep an overview of the interaction between the designs of all sub-components
