Job description

At our Southern California location, we look to "Touch Life" by supporting planetary science, including every NASA Mars rover since Spirit and Opportunity. Honeybee Robotics is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the electrical systems development of robotic sample acquisition and handling devices used in planetary exploration. In this role, you will report directly to the Avionics Manager and interface with inter-disciplinary teams in the development of electrical components and avionics systems.

Responsibilities:

Conduct analog and digital circuit debugging
Perform circuit analysis
Support projects through all phases of development: concepts, prototyping, production
Develop and generate work instruction packages for manufacturing and test of circuit card assemblies
Execute test work instructions
Perform electrical evaluation and selection of instrumentation (temperature, pressure, position, etc.)
Review test data and recommend changes to products and processes

Required Qualifications:

BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
Minimum of 2 years of general engineering experience
Solid circuit theory fundamentals
Experienced with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout tool or equivalent
Familiar with embedded C development
Familiar with Spice simulation
Proficient with using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and LCR meters
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on design documentation and test summary report generation

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a flexible salary range for this job posting that will be customized based on the qualifications of the chosen candidate. Our compensation strategy takes into account various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment. The position is available at multiple levels, and the corresponding salary ranges are as follows:

Electrical Engineer I: $79,000 - $97,000

Electrical Engineer II: $91,000 - $112,000

Electrical Engineer III: $108,000 - $135,000
