Salary range: The typical salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000

Skylo Technologies is a global NTN service provider based in Mountain View, CA, offering a service that allows smartphone and IoT cellular devices to connect directly over existing satellites. Skylo works with existing satellite operators, network operators, and device makers to provide subscribers an anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Skylo's focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows for machines at work across critical industries such as agriculture, maritime, logistics, mining, and others, in addition to mass-market consumer devices.

Skylo Technologies is hiring a Solution Engineer. This person will act as a primary technical interface with Skylo’s customers and partners to add in putting together solutions for their needs utilizing Skylo’s capabilities and services. The right candidate will combine a depth of technical knowledge with a passion for working directly with customers and partners to help them solve their unique challenges.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mobile network operators and device customers to design and support end-to-end solutions that meet their needs
• Work with Skylo engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions to Skylo’s customers and partner ecosystem
• Support network roaming engagements from a solutions design perspective with Skylo’s MNO and MVNO partners
• Work closely with engineering teams to implement network infrastructure and triage tools to enable Skylo’s ecosystem of partners to operate and self support their solutions
• Provide technical support for customers developing Hybrid (NTN and Terrestrial) connected  products and services
• Create comprehensive documentation and presentations supporting sales and product teams with emphasis on NTN and Hybrid connectivity
• Integrate tools and triaging means for efficient signal metrics over satellite network elements
• Work collaboratively with product management, engineering and other support teams

Qualifications

• Experience in implementing end-to-end products and networking infrastructure over terrestrial 3G/4G/5G or NTN networks
• Deep understanding of LTE, VoLTE, and SMS call flows with the ability to understand and analyze PCAP traces.
• Hands-on experience with network elements such as vRAN/ORAN, Core, and packet or signal gateway
• Familiarity with networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and ICMP
• Knowledge of Python, C, Java, and Shell programming languages 
• Familiarity with network latencies, RF, and Timing configurations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven record of customer engagement 
• Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Adapt to changing requirements and priorities in the dynamic satellite and NTN connectivity field
• B.S in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience in building end-to-end solutions for networking customer-facing products
• Highly collaborative, attentive to detail, with a proven track record
